  • Jim Rakete shown in Berlin

    Announcement

Jim Rakete at the gallery Camera Work in BerlinTill 1 March 2008 the gallery at »Camera Work« shows photographies of Jim Rakete. The photographer became famous with his photos of stars from the music scene. Already at the age of 17 he photographed people like Jimi Hendrix, Ray Charles, Mick Jagger or David Bowie. He was – not only as a photographer but also as a producer and manager – engaged in the movement of »Neue Deutsche Welle« and worked with artists like Nena, Die Ärzte or Nina Hagen.

After his excurse in the music scene he’s now back in Berlin and goes on portraiting celebreties from music and movies. Seems he also got some interest in shooting rabbits (the picture was sent to ROGER by Jim Rakete’s agency).

    Gallery »Camera Work«, Kantstr. 149, 10623 Berlin

The new plan they announced is the »Nomad« concept: FutureDesignDays would pop up occasionally and surprisingly at different places and organize events or else. Many newsletter went through the land and one started questioning if »Nomad« was rather an excuse than a proper plan. But now comes an announcement from the FDD organizers: on February 4th an event named »LIGHT NOW« will take place in the Oscar Theatre in Stockholm Continue Reading »
