“Coffee To Go” is probably the most used expression for the portable hot drink – and has become a strong brand in the food and beverages industry. On the other hand, if you delete one space, it becomes Nation Branding. The beneficiary however is Togo – a country whos foreign trade consists to 10% of coffee. Yet unfortunately there’s not a coffee brand from Togo I know… Africa needs brands to play a role on the global economic scene.

The “Coffee To Go” could become the appropriate ersatz for the outlawed cigarette as it shares many attributes: it is (partly) made of paper, it is warm, you can grab hold of it and it contains a drug.
It can also replace the social implications of the cigarette: having a chat and a coffee with colleagues or friends. As the fag, the coffee offers the chance to satisfy and distract our senses from our grey daily grind.

What’s better than a good cup of coffee in the morning? For many people, coffee is the little drug that helps to get into the gears. The paper cup helps all those who don’t even have the time to enjoy their coffee at home.
Sounds stressy, but hey – don’t we have pleasure in showing others how little time and so how important we are? The paper cup symbolized our particpation in meritocracy.

Football is so much pain – especially in Italy. The Italian team is easily recognizable: just look out for a team that spends most of its time lying on the ground or falling down on it. You don’t even have to touch a player of the “Squadra Azzurra” and they will tilt over and suffer from the greatest hurt ever. For sure they will celebrate this with a heavy overdose of orchestration.

This cup is dedicated to Michael Ballack who’s wearing no.13 in the German national football team as well as for FC Chelsea. One of the world’s best football players.
Unfortunately he is stuck in his belief that wearing the no. 13 shirt means fortune. After being only German vice football champion with Bayer Leverkusen, vice champions league champion with Chelsea and vice European champion with the German team, it’s probably time to try a different number. Michael, choose your cup!

There are times when not a single idea flows through your brains – let’s say at around 5 p.m. on a Friday afternoon. If you are a cup designer, that’s the time when at latest the idea of the joker comes to your mind.

There’s so much stuff you can choose from to make your coffee taste a bit like SOMETHING else. Probably adding some Chanel No. 5 would remind you of SOMEONE else. Could become a specialty though for the extravagant Russian nouveau riche. Cheers!

CUPid aka Amor – the Roman god of love: many a love affair starts with an invitation to have a “coffee” – wether it’s in the office or upstairs after bringing your lover home.
Anyhow a coffee on the go doesn’t seem to be the right strategy to convince your chosen one from becoming private.
