Guess what’s missing on this cup? The relationship is clear: wether it’s the coffee to go or french fries, they are all part of the throwaway society. Living in the 21st century, shouldn’t it be possible to make containters made of starch or other intelligent materials mainstream? *This CUP is part of “100 CUPS”

French CUP (No. 26)
The best way to start the day is French style: a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a croissant to dip in. What’s missing is a cup with an integrated croissant holder as you mostly have only one hand free. Otherwise you could end up like you see here.

Sweet CUP (No. 25)
Wether it’s the Frappu-whatever or the Super-Caramel-Schnick-Schnack-Frozen-Coffee: all those kind of drinks don’t have much to do with real coffee. For such super-sugar-drinks why not cover the cup with sugar directly?

Strong CUP (No. 23)
This duct taped cup is usable more then only one time. In a way this could be the prototype for a environmental friendly cup. Producing a cup made of corn or something would only use up things other people see as food. So the only way can be a multi-usable and thus sustainable cup. Here it is!

FuCkUP (No. 21)
»How about a nice big cup of shut the fuck up!« Empirically this is probably one of the visitors’ favourite cups. In the last exhibition at Cologne Docklands it was stolen and before it was set up at Deutsche Welle people already asked for it.
Is this because most of us have a need for such a cup?

No. 20: Faster CUP
Higher, faster, wider… so far the dictum of modernity. Unfortunately the human body seems to have a natural limit. That’s where only certain chemicals can help to boost performance.
The wee-wee in the cup tips the scale on who was cleverer in hiding his tricks.

No. 19: CUP-with-a-view
There’s so much distraction on the streets – better focus your view from time to time. It’s good for your concentration and helps to calm down.
Just remove the bottom of your cup after a good coffee, watch the trees and relax!

No. 18: World-CUP
One of the most famous cups: the World Cup. Here in a different understanding – apart from Fußball (football, soccer).
